Push-fit flame retardant polypropylene waste and drainage system. The Valsir pipes and fittings in flame-retardant polypropylene are produced with UV stabilized grey (RAL 7037) homo-  polymer polypropylene. They are smooth, shiny and free of irregularities that would compromise the functional aspect.   They meet the requirements of the Standard UNI EN 1451 and can be used inside buildings for civil and industrial use  and in particular for the following applications:  waste pipes for the drainage of domestic waste water (low and high temperatures); ventilation pipes connected to the waste system; drainage of rainwater inside the building structure.   Characteristics Easy and fast installation. Excellent corrosion resistance. No welding or gluing operations required. Installation does not require the use of special tools. Good resistance to high temperatures (up to 95°C continuous). Quality The inflammability test is performed at the Valsir laboratory in compliance with the DIN 4102  standards on the flame-retardant polypropylene pipes and fittings. These products must fall in  class B1 according to these standards namely, the test specimen must self-extinguish within 12''  when a flame is applied to the specimen for 15''.  Resilience, namely the shock resistance of a given article is a very important mechanical feature.  The resilience test is performed on extruded products using a striker that impacts the product. The  height of the drop and the weight of the striker vary as the size of the pipe changes. The test is  performed at 20°C in the case of PP and Silere articles.  The internal stress test is performed on the extruded PP and HDPE products.In fact, after the  extrusion process the manufactured products contain stresses generated during the production  process; if intense, these forces could cause the product to deform with time. In order to  determine that the intensity of such forces is minimum, the test specimen is heated and a  maximum change in the length of the test specimen after cooling is accepted (2% for HDPE  manufactured products, 3% in the case of PP products).  The seal test on the joints of PP articles is undoubtedly a test of fundamental importance: in fact  in this system the seal is assured by a ring seal. The test is performed by introducing water at  25°C at a pressure of 0.5 bar for 30' inside the specimen piece and no losses must occur.  The flame-retardant polypropylene fittings are subject to rigorous dimensional analysis during the  moulding process performed by implementing procedures and at the frequencies established by  the testing specifications and in compliance with current European standards.  The dimensional analysis of the flame-retardant polypropylene fittings and pipes foresees a wall  thickness measurement performed using appropriate instruments.  Fittings are produced by a moulding process. The press is equipped with a control panel where it  is possible to set the production parameters for each moulded article (temperatures, processing  time for the various phases, etc.). The various settings can be stored in a file.
